GTA 6 leaker CyberLeek releases more footage, including a video of a character spelling “leek” with bullet holes in a wall, suggesting direct access to the game

A real plane.  —  Follow Grand Theft Auto VI  —  UPDATE 1PM BST: A previous version of this article erroneously suggested …

Eurogamer.net Robert Purchese

Context & Ripple Effects

Rockstar previously confirmed a network intrusion tied to GTA VI material, while a GTAForums user had already circulated a large batch of purported gameplay videos in 2022. The newer CyberLeek episode shifts the story from a one-time breach fallout to renewed circulation of purported game assets.

CyberLeek's earlier release of clips and a map was framed as a protest of Rockstar's digital-only release, and Rockstar answered with DMCA takedowns. The additional footage raises the stakes because it is presented as evidence of continuing access rather than a recycled archive.

First-order effects

  • Rockstar's takedown effort faces a larger and potentially more credible stream of purported GTA VI material as CyberLeek releases further footage.
  • CyberLeek gains a stronger basis for the claim of access by publishing footage that appears designed to identify the leaker inside the game world.

Second-order effects

  • The dispute over Rockstar's digital-only release receives more attention because the leak itself is being used as the protest vehicle, rather than merely as unauthorized disclosure.
  • Platforms hosting the material are more likely to face renewed removal requests following Rockstar's earlier DMCA response to CyberLeek's clips and map.

Third-order effects

  • If repeated releases continue, Rockstar's release-format decisions may become entangled with a recurring security-response cycle: unauthorized publication, platform takedowns, and renewed claims of access.
  • The contrast between the 2022 breach-linked leak and CyberLeek's current campaign points to leaked game material becoming an enduring pressure point for publisher control over both development assets and distribution messaging.

The trend: GTA VI coverage is becoming a test of how publishers contain unauthorized assets when leakers use them to contest release and distribution choices.

Multiple game devs responded to this publicly, and 2 in DM's at major studios. It appears this GTA 6 leaked footage is from the PC version, and not console.

5th leaked GTA 6 clip: - Shows Jason flying a Duster over the Keys and Vice City - The map is massive and dense - Volumetric clouds return from RDR2 - The prison Lucia is in appears from above - You can mate/unmute a radio station instead of having to turn off the whole radio -

This is probably the point where Rockstar has no choice but to address what's happening. Cyberleek has a playable GTA 6 build, which means this can go from free-roam clips to full missions, major cutscenes, character deaths and story spoilers at any moment. If this keeps going,

Cyberleek officially has the GTA 6's game build. He is shooting the wall and spelling LEEK. This could be disastrous as he could leak the game ending. #gta #gta6 #gtavı #gtavıleak

the latest GTA 6 leak proves that the leaker has a playable build, or at least part of it. They use bullets to spray “leek” onto a wall. Nightmare scenario for Rockstar Games. The leak shows off plane footage that looks like Microsoft Flight Simulator 🤯

I genuinely don't know what's going to happen. If this leaker has a build of the game (which it now looks like he almost certainly does) then this is incomprehensibly bad. If he's not stopped, it's pretty much inevitable that we're going to start seeing all kinds of GTA 6
