The way a lot of ppl on the left have framed these moratoriums is as a bargaining tool, (we are going to threaten bans, but only to get what we want). But then you have voters on board w a ban & you didn't get any of the tradeoffs u claim u wanted. So what have u really achieved?

One horrifying thing about this country is that many of its citizens, including a large portion of the youth, wouldn't mind being ruled by China. They implicitly welcome actually being spied on, socially regulated, and ruled. They support this.

This appears to be mostly political posturing imho. Aterio dataset as of mid-June had New York well in the middle of the road GW nationally in terms of operational, under construction, and pipeline, a one-year pause on >50MW projects awaiting permits is more headline than [image]
