    unsurprising, the vision was to always bring her to life. i am very very curious how much they will lean on emotional companion aspect of this now that gpt live is really good. that will be a huge difference because apple would never lean into that (in fact they have explicitly

    The interesting thing about AI hardware is that nearly every permutation has been tried or considered so it's reasonably predictable what the first incarnation can be. Much has to change about materials/physics/semi-conductors/ etc for there to be another hw evolution.

    At first you think you don't need a speaker but I think speaker is the wrong word. It is a listener (which could sound creepy given early travails with these devices)—it isn't speaking as much as listening and then answering. I never use my Google/Apple speakers for music/pods.
