Meta expands Teen Accounts safety features to limit harmful content on Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, including about nutrition, weightlifting, and anxiety
The changes, after Meta's legal losses in two child safety cases, are aimed at limiting harmful content shown to teenagers on Instagram, Facebook and Messenger.

3/ We're not stopping there. We're testing a way to prevent teens from seeing certain types of content repeatedly, like posts about nutrition or coping with anxiety. While this content can be helpful, parents + experts think it should be balanced with other topics, and so do we.

2/ We launched these new settings on Instagram in the US, UK, Australia + Canada last year. We put them to the test and an external assessment found that Instagram Teen Accounts saw 68% less mature content than on a leading competitor - so now we're taking them global.
