I love how heavily @SpaceX leaned into photography in their S-1. The first 15 pages are all pictures, many of which have no explanation at all. It just makes you... feel. [image]

SpaceX's S-1 has gotta be the most sci-fi SEC filing of all time. “[we will] harness the Sun to power a truth-seeking artificial intelligence that advances scientific discovery, and ultimately to build a base on the Moon and cities on other planets.” “By moving beyond the only

The bull case is that this could work as a growth story. The bear case is that it is already long-in-the-tooth as an IPO, and moving into a market w/ giant hungry players.

xAI reportedly spent $20B in 2025 and revenue only grew by about 22% that year (vs something like 200% and 900% for OpenAI and Anthropic) [image]

We're expanding our partnership with @SpaceX, and will be scaling up on GB200 capacity in Colossus 2 throughout June. Appreciate @elonmusk and the team helping us find good homes for the Claudes.

Twitter had $1.2b of revenue in Q1 2022. SpaceX's AI unit, including X and Grok and all AI compute, was only $818m in Q1 2022.

$TSLA had 5x SpaceX revenue last year. This biz is not as big as expected.

Space's S-1 has some more details on the Cursor collaboration: - SpaceX has a 30-day window post-IPO to acquire Cursor at a $60B valuation (paid in SpaceX stock) - If they walk away: $10B in fees to Cursor ($1.5B termination + $8.5B deferred services) - In the meantime: SpaceX [i…

Musk will get 0.20% more of SpaceX, for every $500 billion increase in market cap, capping out at $7.5 trillion (and provided he's put up that colony in Mars). At $7.5 billion, that would be some $15 billion worth of shares.

SpaceX's IPO prospectus was just made public and it details Elon Musk's stake. So I did some back of the envelope math. He owns more than 51% of current shares outstanding. At SpaceX's current $1.25 trillion self-valuation, his stake is worth more than $635 billion. [image]

the meta-story of today (lowercase M) is how all three big AI companies rushed to whip their shit out for IPO land all within the span of a few hours the bakeoff btwn SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic public offerings this fall is going to take years off my life

SpaceX S-1 does not disclose a standalone X MAU number (550 million figure is combined X + Grok). Twitter's last public disclosure before going private in October 2022 was 237.8 million mDAU.

Immediate reax to SpaceX S-1: It's a big company, but not as big as many of us thought.
