Sergey Brin-backed Building a Better California says two ballot countermeasures to the proposed wealth tax are on track to qualify for the November ballot

Wall Street Journal Laura J. Nelson

Discussion

The wealth tax got enough sigs to make the Nov ballot, but so did 2 counters: 1) Ban new taxes on personal property (-real estate) 2) Add tax audits / spend restrictions Each got ~1.5M sigs If either countermeasure gets more votes, the wealth tax is dead even if it passes.
