Factory, whose AI coding agents switch between AI models depending on the complexity of the task, raised a $150M Series C led by Khosla at a $1.5B valuation

Matan Grinberg's Factory, which offers autonomous coding tools, is competing with the likes of Anthropic, OpenAI and Cursor

I got introduced to Matan from one of the best investors in the world. He said to me: “Harry, I am trying to put 10% of my fund into Matan and Factory.” When you get that message. You stop what you are doing. Cancel everything and arrange a walk. About 5 mins into the walk I

Congrats to Matan and team. Great product, incredible founder, and I'm a proud investor!

While enterprises are obsessed with Droids, Factory is also redefining how an AI-native company actually operates: - Engineering: Droid builds our own product. - Sales: Reps have fully automated their deal cycles. - Legal: We've entirely replaced traditional CLM tooling with

When I first met @matanSF he told me: “My teacher once told me I would never be good at math. So I picked the hardest topic I could find in theoretical physics and went to do a PhD out of spite” 🤣 Sometimes the best motivation for something is pure spite.

The Droids are taking over! Huge congrats to @FactoryAI on a great round Factory has been consistently early to understanding how the AI coding market was going to play out and have absolutely RIPPING momentum with some of the biggest companies in the world. The next 12 months

Our traction (especially in enterprises) has been insane recently. When you bring great people who care together, it results in a fundamentally great product. Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the journey, especially our customers & users! A lot more to come!

Excited to partner with @matanSF @EnoReyes and team at @FactoryAI as they are building their industry leading coding harness into an enterprise wide platform, enabling their customers to operate a true software factory!

    Love this company!

Huge congrats to @matanSF @EnoReyes @francesca_lab and the killer team at @FactoryAI on the Series C and building for where the puck is going — autonomous engineering systems for the enterprise so much fun working with this team and seeing their winning culture up close...

Haven't hit my 1 year yet and @FactoryAI already 10x'd in valuation. Eng only went from 17 to 27. This shows we were forced to go all-in on agent-native development to get here. Still very early. So much more to come. Planning a longer write-up, but for now, the job's not done.

I've been a bit shameless about this, but @FactoryAI was my favorite coding agent harness by fall last year They released step function changes and it felt like it was an overnight success but it was years experimenting before all the things we took for granted were were in the

Not sure the team @FactoryAI knows this, but leading their last round was my first investment as a Partner. Been a true privilege to support this team from early days. Engineers deserve the best in agent-native development, and the best is at Factory.

It would have been irresponsible to dare @matanSF to drop out of school I'd say a “strong encouragement” is more accurate 🤣 It took some time but @FactoryAI is starting to ABSOLUTELY RIP @rabois is one of the investors I admire the most. Thrilled to finally team w/ him! [image]

Today, we are excited to announce our $150M Series C led by Khosla Ventures with strong participation from Sequoia Capital, Blackstone, Insight Partners, Evantic Capital, Abstract Ventures, 20VC, NEA, and Mantis VC. This puts our valuation at $1.5B and will accelerate our

absolutely fascinating moment for the coding platform wars and not surprised to see factory hit this moment given their longtime focus on agent-native enterprise deployments …
