  FYSA - this is not news/exclusive. For the many that will not read the article: EIA said they would be doing this a few months ago. EIA has statutory authority to ask for this kind of information. EIA will not reveal proprietary data. EIA is a statistical and analytical agency

  This is the main industrial buildout of my lifetime and it's a little ridiculous how much I've had to piece information together from a lot of different sources. This will make all conversations about the actual impacts of data centers easier and more reliable.

  one of the hardest things when i was looking for data was actually understanding how much power they use (a lot of it is just estimated rn!) this would be very needed!
