the important thing about muse spark, beside showing that msl can train a frontier model, is that meta has great consumer distribution so, their shopping app is a competitor to shopping on chatgpt; they show health benchmarks because that's an important consumer use of chatbots

We also evaluated it on GPQA Diamond (90%), OTIS Mock AIME 2024-2025 (89%), and SimpleQA Verified (66%). We assess a preliminary ECI score of 154, a bit higher than GPT-5.2 and a bit lower than Opus 4.6. The 90% CI is wide: 151-158. It will narrow as we add more benchmarks.

I think the most obvious is that Meta has its own frontier model and can use that to extract additional value out of its customer base/explore new markets for its products. Very few companies can say that, and it has value on its own.

Seems like a good model from Meta that is still trailing the current series of releases. The most important thing to note is that it is not open weights. That was the main reason that Meta's models were so important. Without that, it is a lot harder to predict the value of Spark
