Google launches Veo 3.1 Lite, which is <50% of Veo 3.1 Fast's price and meant for “high-volume video applications”, and recommits to video generation tools

Following OpenAI's Sora exit last week, Google today said it's committed to offering video generation while announcing Veo 3.1 Lite.

    Veo 4! ...would have been nice! 😉 But instead we're getting Veo 3.1 Lite from @GoogleDeepMind. A cheaper and faster variant of the established Veo 3.1. It's better than nothing and surely it's useful for some use-cases. You just have to wait a bit longer for Veo 4. [image]
