    this is because an ai app store is a category error. if the model is good enough, the “app” is just a prompt + context + maybe permissions. installing a chatgpt “app” is basically installing a system prompt, which is absurd theater. they tried to recapitulate the app store

    Something I've been saying for a while now about ChatGPT apps. If you have to summon them, then there's no way this becomes extremely successful. Most people have no idea the apps are there or how to summon them. E.g. They recently added an AccuWeather app to get the forecast... …
