A fairly strong stance (recommend Chinese scientists to provide no service, no submissions, and removing #NeurIPS from the recommended conference lists) by the China Computer Federation on the decision of @NeurIPSConf to prohibit certain institutes on the US sanctions list.
CCF(China Computer Federation) advises us not to engage with NeurIPS in any way — including submitting, reviewing, or ACing. They are even considering to remove NeurIPS from the CCF list. I'll also stop submitting this year — though admittedly I don't have a paper ready anyway. […
