Jeff Bezos is expert at eliminating jobs. Amazon. The Post. Now manufacturing companies.

American needs to deindustrialize, you'll need AI + people to do this. Bezos handling the messaging on this poorly. (Understatement.) This reads like AI will be used to eliminate factory jobs. https://www.reuters.com/...

You don't need $100 billion to buy manufacturing companies.

Jeff Bezos, worth $234 billion, plans to replace 600,000 Amazon workers with robots. Now, he wants to spend $100 billion to fully automate not just his warehouses, but factories in the U.S & other countries. Oligarchs are waging all out war against workers. FIGHT BACK.

i wonder if he realizes that a) this ultimately creates more jobs, b) we are a generation way from automating factories

This is what they meant when they said they wanted to bring manufacturing back to America.

this is a nightmare scenario: AI-aware foreign investors realise the value of manufacturing assets earlier than middle powers do. they'll buy it all, gvts think they're getting a great deal, and realise years later they gave away the assets that would've kept them live players.

For years I have been saying that re-shoring is a multi-trillion dollar opportunity. Incredibly pleased to see that @JeffBezos agrees!

Is Jeff Bezos reindustrialization-pilled? One can hope.

scoop - Jeff Bezos is in early talks to raise $100 billion for a new mega-fund to buy manufacturing companies and juice them up with AI part of his new startup “project prometheus,” which is building physics-focused AI models https://www.wsj.com/...

Jeff Bezos, worth $234 billion, sailed on his $500 million yacht to his $55 million wedding in Italy to give his wife a $5 million ring because his tax rate is just 1.1%. Now he wants to spend $100 billion replacing workers in entire factories with robots. Tax the rich - NOW.

The narrative for AI x manufacturing really needs to be that almost all the American jobs have already been shipped overseas so we're replacing Chinese workers with American robots+technicians Otherwise we get ... this

Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post: If we increase the minimum wage companies will replace workers with robots. Jeff Bezos: I'm gonna spend $100 billion to replace factory workers with robots in the U.S & the world. Fact: The $7.25 an hour minimum wage hasn't gone up in 17 years.

The Epstein class is literally trying to take everyone's job and leave people to suffer and die with absolutely nothing. Billionaires are a national security threat and need to be dealt with accordingly.

Jeff Bezos is raising more money than the GDP of entire countries to bet it all on a SINGLE idea: Automating The Physical World The most powerful people on earth are all shifting their focus from bits to atoms: - Jeff Bezos is raising $100 BILLION to buy factories and

This must be part of Trump's plan to “re-industrialize” the rust belt.

Why wouldn't he do this under the $AMZN umbrella, like he did with AWS?

This is the future people like @matthewstoller and @SohrabAhmari see for reshoring US manufacturing. It's reshoring in name only, as it does not create good paying jobs for regular people.

Bezos is doing some sort of AI-powered-PE deal?  Seems bad.  —  Anyhow why this dude isn't just lying on a beach drinking daiquiris is beyond me, there have to be easier ways to entertain yourself than 12 figure startups.

Bezos is basically playing a real-life game of Factorio now.  First he conquered the porch, now he's coming for the factory floor.  “Automate everything” is just billionaire-speak for “I'm tired of seeing humans in my line of sight.”  —  www.reuters.com/business/ret...
