Two week delay for satellite images from the Gulf. That tells you the damage is rather severe in a lot of places.

Pentagon contractor Planet Labs increased its delay of image publication by 10 days to censor the damage to US imperial bases in Iraq, Jordan and the Gulf vassal states The cover up is growing

In recent years companies have sometimes stopped providing any new imagery at all (c.f. Ukraine) but Planet has been a very reliable provider and I think a two-week delay is a first for them. Speaks to the sensitivity of some of the battle damage that has been coming out.

You can use European satellites Sentinel-1 and 2 or Airbus Pléiades. No censorship there. https://browser.dataspace.copernicus.eu / The damage on US/Israeli military assets is extensive enough for the US authorities to force a TWO WEEKS delay.

Translation: Trump is not happy with the high quality satellite imagery of its bases getting pounded by Iran.
  • @steffanwatkins Steffan Watkins on x
Remember that 🇺🇸 American boots on the ground are not invisible, and if they establish a beachhead inside Iran 🇮🇷, using the Syria model, it would be really inconvenient for Planet to release imagery of it.

Trump administration definitely didn't like the release of such images 👀 [image]

Satellite company @planet has announced a *14 day delay* to the release of imagery in the MidEast. This will be a huge setback for those trying to verify events in the region. [image]
