honestly this is bullish for MSFT. to date incumbents have been defensive about how much value the models themselves drive, and as a result want to build layers of their own scaffolding to feel valuable. similar to salesforce's slack bot. but you can just let claude be claude

Announcing Copilot Cowork, a new way to complete tasks and get work done in M365. When you hand off a task to Cowork, it turns your request into a plan and executes it across your apps and files, grounded in your work data and operating within M365's security and governance [vide…

Great to see the excitement around Copilot Cowork today. I have been using it in my own work for the past few weeks, and the best way to understand it is to see it in action. Sharing a short demo from my day to day here. [video]

Finally. I haven't tried it yet, so don't know how good it is. It's crazy that it took them this long to get to this point. They really should have been leading with the AI integration in the work suite and the OS.

i hate how every major ai company follows the same guidelines of an ai based feature: user prompt -> agent responds what if you never had to prompt your ai to do tasks? it just does the task when expected to do so through your connected tools.

This is the right idea for large enterprises for sure. Couldn't have come at a better time.

Huge W for Anthropic Microsoft just integrated Claude into Microsoft 365 Copilot That's 365M enterprise users - overnight, without Anthropic having to sell a single enterprise deal The “Cowork” framing (AI as a coworker, not a tool) is now inside every Teams meeting, every [image…

The market is underestimating $MSFT's grip on enterprises. The grip doesn't stem from having the best product, but from having the best integrations (ecosystem), security, reliability, as well as data residency. If $MSFT can get its act together in terms of solid product

Microsoft seems to be launching its own branded version of Cowork (though I hesitate to discuss products I haven't tried) A big question is whether it will continue to use lower-end models without telling you. Also whether it will keep up as the space evolves, or is it a one-off …

🤔 hm, anyone know how to parse this? my interpretation is “Copilot Cowork only works with Anthropic models, but we have other Copilot stuff that works with OpenAI models” if that's right, kinda weird coupling between model brand and product surface..? [image]

Exciting announcement of Copilot Cowork today - I've been using the last few weeks and it's a game changer.

Microsoft announced today a new Copilot Cowork agent powered by the same technology behind Anthropic's existing Claude Cowork agent https://buff.ly/g4XbYc5

Quote from the release blog “Working closely with Anthropic, we have integrated the technology behind Claude Cowork into Microsoft 365 Copilot. It is this multi-model advantage that makes Copilot different. Your work is not limited by one brand of models.” Choice is the moat!

“Copilot Cowork” is a strange name for what is essentially... a copilot. Cool that Microsoft is getting there, but this is what the product should have been from the very start.

my mental model for frontier ai is that we all are working on different colour variation of the same base model and the same base product
