Amazon says it will cut 16,000 more corporate jobs.  At the same time, the company is expanding in India, including a $35B investment plan through 2030.  FY2025 data show 12,391 H-1B approvals for Amazon, including 4,644 new approvals.  They will call it AI efficiency or bureaucr…

“reducing layers” reads “eliminating middle management” One manager can easily do the work of two right now using basic AI tools. Someone who REALLY understands these tools could easily mange 3-5x as many people. If you're impacted, the most important thing you can do is

Amazon is laying off 16,000 corporate jobs.  This is its second round of mass job cuts in three months.  It laid off 14,000 workers out of its corporate workforce in October.  The layoffs amount to about 10% of its corporate and tech workforce out of 350,000.  It has about 1.58 m…

A bit lost in the shuffle of the staggering number of job cuts at Amazon is that the company killed its biometric palm-scanning payment system known as One. Not sure it will be missed [image]

Amazon announced it will slash another 16,000 jobs. That's in addition to the 14,000 jobs that were cut last October. Apparently Amazon doesn't have the money to pay employees but it has more than enough money to throw at a crappy movie on Melania Trump.

Jeff Bezos has become $45 billion richer since Trump was elected. He pays a lower tax rate than a truck driver, nurse or teacher. Amazon got a $15.7 billion tax break from Trump last year. Now, Amazon plans to create a “new rhythm” of layoffs every few months. Trickle not.

$amzn has laid off an average of 50+ people a day, every day, for the past 1,100+ days/3 years ... and Zoox and Optimus haven't started delivering packages yet.

Amazon announced it will be cutting ~16,000 jobs, coupled with 14,000 jobs in October, that's about 30,000 jobs lost. The greatness continues.
