    there's always one common thing in these stuffs: Monero $XMR sad it's used for hacks, money laundering, and to purchase illegal items. XMR isn't bad itself, it's just bad actors using it but this proves that it's working exactly as intended: real privacy and anonymity still

    Yet again, the cause of the price pump was due a large hack. Is this legitimate? Based on how quickly the purchases were, it seems awfully likely. The last major Monero pump last year was caused in a similar manner. Some may speculate that these are lies meant to downplay

    Thanks to a tip from @Bitcoin_Vietnam about suspicious activity and a rapid response from the @zeroshadow_io team, over $1M+ of proceeds of this theft have been frozen today. If data sharing in crypto was normalised, substantially more than this could have been caught.

    I don't know the details of this particular scam, but hardware wallet social engineering often focuses on compromising your seed phrase. Your HW wallet seed should ALWAYS stay offline. Never enter it onto anything but another hardware wallet. $282M... sheesh.

    2 million litecoin stolen by scammers and started being swapped into Monero on the 10th. Litecoin is artificially low and Monero is artificially high. [image]
