A major point to make about a fantastic @WIRED story on @facebook - it let's off FB too easy! FB is not the victim. They knew a lot more was up. I don't buy the internal handwringing at FB. Boy King isn't as innocent as it seems.

I'd love to read the story behind this story and the interactions/horse trades w/ FB — which should be abundantly clear, is not super chill about pieces like this. It would tell me a lot about how they will truly address these issues. http://twitter.com/...

The accusations against Murdoch in this piece as well as Facebook's alleged countermeasures are staggering. https://www.wired.com/...

This is a remarkable story, but it glosses over two key facts: (1) Facebook stock is up 72% since 2016 and (2) Mark Zuckerberg has personally added about $25 billion to his fortune during those “two years of hell.” http://www.wired.com/...

So this Wired story pretty much confirmed for me what I'd been saying for a while (including before the election). Facebook got played and manipulated to not fix the egregious exploitation of its platform before the election. Plain and simple. http://www.wired.com/... http://twit…

This exceptional Wired story covers the last 2 yrs of investigations of disinformation, from both inside & outside FB. So many important points. Even as someone who was part of it, I learned new things ab what was happening on the other side. Must read. http://bit.ly/2HbgksH pic.…

My takeaway from this giant Wired story is that we could be in a much different timeline if Facebook had treated its contract workers a little better. http://www.wired.com/... http://twitter.com/...

Good work here. Ties a lot of threads together to show how messy these last two years have been. http://twitter.com/...
