Today's announcement with @AnthropicAI is another great example of the ecosystem of AI startups leveraging Google Cloud's reliable and open infrastructure to build their businesses. https://www.googlecloudpresscorner.com/ ... https://twitter.com/...

So it looks like OpenAi is partnered with Microsoft, and (to a lesser degree) Anthropic is partnering with Google. Where does this leave Meta and Amazon?

@shiraeis Meta took a wrong turn down the VR fantasy trap. Amazon will go slow and steady as usual.

Serious question for Accounting Twitter: Now that there are two of these, when a company uses its balance sheet in a transaction that requires boomerang use of same dollars for their services, are they able to recognize said revenue? Couldn't you juice you own numbers writ large?…

christ, everyone's really arming up for the year ahead. a reminder: Anthropic has its own rival to ChatGPT, Claude, though it's currently in closed beta https://twitter.com/...

Google invests $300mn in buzzy artificial intelligence start-up Anthropic. The company is also backed by Sam Bankman-Fried, whose stake is a key asset in the FTX bankruptcy. Scoop w/ @RichardWaters https://www.ft.com/...
