Update: Meduza's podcast “What Happened” is back on Apple Podcasts two days after it was removed. Apple has still not provided a reason for suddenly removing the podcast.

It is not only Meduza's podcast that was deleted but Kholod Media as well. And it is not a mistake. Kholod confirms they've received a message from Apple stating they were asked by Russian internet censor Roskomnadzor to take it down.
Apple started to systematically remove content created by independent Russian media from its services. In addition to the Meduza podcast, the Kholod podcast was also removed at the request of Russian censorship as it was labelled as ‘discrediation of Russan army’.

Apple deletes arguably Russia's best podcast because Russian officials have asked for it. I'll remind everyone that Meduza has the best reach into Russian audience instead the country so it only makes perfect sense for Russian state to shut them down. But WTF, @Apple?
