The system also lands as the Wireless Power Consortium prepares Qi v2.0 devices, with more than 100 products in certification or awaiting it. That gives close-range, standardized charging a clearer consumer-device route while Wi-Charge pursues installed, room-scale use cases.

  • Wi-Charge customers can power compatible receivers at a distance, but must position transmitters and devices to maintain line of sight.
  • At 2–3 watts, the beta is best suited to devices whose power needs fit that ceiling; it does not remove the need for receiver hardware or deliberate placement.
