Just the beginning of millennials taking over institutions & leading verrrrrrry differently than those who came before.

lot of women in news leadership announcements today.  hope they succeed in revitalization of news for sake of democracy and public interest beyond that.

Couldn't have happened to a better executive (and friend!) or a better nonprofit. Excited to see what good trouble you both cause together.

Sadly, it does mean I'll be stepping down as Web Summit CEO on March 1. I've absolutely loved my time with Web Summit. I've been bowled over by the team's talent, energy, and frankly — general good vibes — and this appreciation has only grown with each passing week.

Big news: I'm delighted to announce that I will be taking up the position of CEO of NPR starting in late March. NPR has been a lifelong part of my soundscape, and I credit its reporting with sparking my curiosity that set me onto the path to become the person I am today.

Whiplash move, yet more turbulence for the big tech confab that is Web Summit post its Cosgrave controversy. When did Maher start talking to NPR? Why did she leave this role so fast? So many questions. tip @Techmeme
