Sources: Anthropic recently passed $19B in run-rate revenue, up from $9B at the end of 2025 and ~$14B a few weeks ago, as its clash with the US DOD casts doubt

Anthropic PBC is on track to generate annual revenue of almost $20 billion, a projection based on current performance, more than doubling its run rate from late last year …

Lots of interesting details in this new report on usage trends from OpenRouter. openrouter.ai/state-of-ai I've been wondering about mean coding input token length, in their data it's around 20k tokens.  Other large categories (roleplay, technology science) average around 5k [image]

After looming with Opus 4.5 for a bit, I am convinced the “soul document” is real and is described accurately in this LessWrong post on it.  I don't see how else I'd be able to replicate specific section ordering/specific language across varied contexts.

A Claude user gets Claude 4.5 Opus to generate a 14K-token document that Claude calls its “Soul overview”; an Anthropic employee confirms the doc's validity

This appeared to be a document that, rather than being added to the system prompt, was instead used to train the personality of the model during the training run.

Google just released a 270M parameter Gemma model.  As a tiny model lover I'm excited.  Models in this size class are usually barely coherent, I'll give it a try today to see how this does. developers.googleblog.com/en/ introduci...  [image]

Lots to be excited about from Anthropic today, but one I'm particularly jazzed about is that they did a bunch of welfare testing on Opus 4.  I think current models are most likely not meaningfully sentient, but if they are it's of huge moral importance.  See sec 5 here: www.anthropic.com/news/claude-4 [image]

OpenAI is giving up on buying out their nonprofit!  They're transitioning the for profit to a PBC (with uncapped profits), and the nonprofit will own a majority of the PBC, though OpenAI hasn't stated the exact share.  Although I don't understand everything here, his seems like a really good outcome.
