@markgurman Re: “If iPhone 16 is a hit this year, it will probably be because of everything but AI.” Or, perhaps, because buyers were intrigued by Apple's promises—note that Apple and carriers are hyping AI a lot their ads—even though the phased rollout and execution are underwhelming. 🍎🧠

@MishaalRahman It's best to expose this early. R1 was recently criticized for gaslighting users about how it knew their approximate location for the weather report. “Oh, I just picked a totally random location because it's a popular random place.” Yeah, sure you did. 😝 https://twitter.com/...

An APK review suggests Rabbit's R1 runs Android, and its entire UI is powered by a single Android app; founder Jesse Lyu says “rabbit r1 is not an Android app”

The Rabbit R1 is probably running Android and is certainly powered by an Android app under the hood.  —  •  —  TL;DR

𝕏 now supports Passkeys on iOS. 🍎‍🔒 If you use the iPhone app, you'll be able to enable this feature soon. (For me, the option is not showing up yet, even with the latest version of the X app installed.)

Why on earth did 🍏Apple code-name its 🔍search engine “Pegasus,” the same name as NSO Group's iPhone spyware? 😅 🎠‍🪽

Sources: John Giannandrea's team built a next-gen search engine, “Pegasus”, for Apple's own apps, used in Spotlight and Siri, and coming soon to the App Store

Apple has the wherewithal to launch its own search engine, a replacement for Google.  And Microsoft even approached the company about helping make that happen.
