something i think about a lot is that, for all its kinda underwhelming-ness, the Uber tv show on Showtime (Super Pumped) absolutely nailed its portrayal of how ruthless tim cook is. hank azaria deserves a lot more credit than i'm sure he got for it.

Like many other tech companies, LoanSnap capitalized in the boom times of 2020-2021. But its business has struggled mightily as interest rates shot up / mortgage refinancing fell according to data reported with the federal government: https://techcrunch.com/... [image]

We made many attempts to get in touch with LoanSnap CEO @Karl (and others) ahead of this story, and got no response from basically all of them. Now, hours after our story published, Karl's account... seems to have been hacked? There are like 2 dozen of these replies already. [image]

Apple's M&A head had multiple talks around 2014 w/ Musk about buying Tesla before Tim Cook scuttled the idea.  Apple also held talks w/ Mercedes-Benz about letting the German automaker build its car.  Pretty remarkable how far and wide Apple casted for help on this project which continues to look as tortured as everyone has said it was https://www.bloomberg.com/...

@MalathiNayak I think it's fair to say when Jeremy Banner died after hitting a tractor trailer in 2019 that it didn't seem that Tesla ever addressed this problem after Brown's death But it's striking to see Autopilot engineers say it in black and white in these depos: https://www.bloomberg.com/...

If this is a “successful” AI trial then the industry really is doomed. Funny the spokesperson uses the word “derelict.” I'd also use that word to describe what's happening here. Solidarity with all the G/O workers who have to deal with this nonsense ✊ https://www.washingtonpost.com/ ... [image]
