Triller is now accused (again) of reporting higher usage stats to the public than it reports to the rights holders. First Universal pulls its music off the platform, now this? It was all good just a week ago. https://twitter.com/...

Triller didn't deny the claim from a source that it inflates MAUs to the public and says there's “no legal definition of MAU/DAU”, ahead of expected SPAC merger

“There is no legal definition of MAU/DAU,” says Mike Lu, Triller CEO.  “We are an open ecosystem ... Triller's value is in monetizing users, not MAU or DAU.”

People sleeping on Sirius XM acquiring Stitcher. Stitcher is the only podcast app with significant market share besides Apple/Spotify. Sirius also acquired Midroll, which makes ad sales even easier. Sirius still has to catch up, but this is how to catch up.

Two thoughts: 1. Spotify and Bill Simmons intentionally leak this story on a Friday night of a long wknd to let it simmer and see how the media reacts 👀 2. Joe Budden might lose his spot as the #1 podcast on Spotify https://www.wsj.com/...
