@t3mporarybl1p So far, based on the data that I have, there's not a noticeable difference at the two-week cut-off than any other product. Yes, folks are returning, sure. There's always some.

@t3mporarybl1p At some point, consumers need to freeze the march of tech and buy. Similarly, tech companies need to freeze the march and ship. This is a line for what Apple wants in two years, for some % of AVP's price today. I agree that it's a pretty developer's and fan's kit.

Zuckerberg is afraid. In 11 days, without iPad apps that run on the hardware, Apple Vision Pro has more native apps than Quest has in 11 years. Quest is decent hardware, don't get me wrong. The video just smacks of desperation and fear.

Kuo's had a solid track record, but this post is very much a “common sense” one. It's not the first time we've heard late-Jan for Apple Vision Pro and predicting a fall Mac event is very, very safe.

This is a bigger deal than it appears on the surface. Before, the Arizona TSMC foundry was expected to ship chips back to Taiwan for finishing. Now, they don't have to. This sets the stage for US assembly of more Apple products.

That was a very quick, and unsurprising, turnaround. It's foolish to think that Apple gives a single damn about what any other company does. It cares about regulation. [image]

Apple plans to adopt the GSM's RCS messaging standard by releasing a software update “later next year”, bringing iMessage-style features to cross-platform texts
