X is restricting Grok's image capabilities via the @grok command for free users, but they can still create sexual deepfakes via X's “Edit image” or Grok's app

X's sexual deepfake machine is still running, despite Grok saying otherwise.

Here are two more charts I think give some context.  —  First (again, inspo is @alexmahadevan.com): Community Notes are declining and are now at the lowest level since the program opened up to everyone.  [image]

Second, the bottleneck with Community Notes is that there aren't enough ratings to determine whether a note is helpful at all.  If you throw in AI Note Writers (but not raters) this will get even worse.  [image]

I'm not sure that will work either because most notes don't get enough ratings already.  If you throw AI into the mix (only on the authoring side), you'll end up with many more notes but the same amount of raters.  Opening it up to AI raters feels like an inevitability.

Let's be clear though: X is rolling this out because the number of active authors is plateauing and the program risks at best stagnation and at worst a spiral of decline.
