Threads is growing fast - not just in terms of users, but also organic visibility on Google.  It's quickly starting to earn page 1-3 positions for extremely high-volume celebrity names.  FWIW, my personal behavior has been slowly shifting to Threads over X lately.  Much more pleasant over there.

Well, Google finally responded to the AI Overview drama from last week.  The response makes sense, but some of the things mentioned surprised me a bit, like this part: “Because accuracy is paramount in Search, AI Overviews are built to only show information that is backed up by top web results.”  Is “backed up by top web results” different than “shown as evidence by the links we cite in the answer?”
