See now @arstechnica does it right.  The story introduces the latest Tesla vaporware in a pointed way that politely informs the reader musk is historically full of shit.  Even manages to subtly remind readers that musk actively funds white supremacists like Stephen Miller.  I don't see why that's so hard.

Hands-on with Meta's Orion: needs a wireless processor puck, weighs only 100g, is packed with sensors, and has good eye tracking and a wide FoV for AR glasses

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg calls them “The most advanced glasses the world has ever seen.”  —  I wore Mark Zuckerberg's contact lenses.

journalists covering this should make it very clear the GOP is operating purely in bad faith, bullying tech giants (in Zuck's case happily) away from moderating racist right wing propaganda, a cornerstone of party power and recruitment 95% of these articles don't make this clear AT ALL

the cool thing about lazy “CEO said a thing!” journalism is you get a bunch of clicks when you repeat something musk said, then more clicks later when you're inevitably forced to walk back whatever feverish gibberish he farted out

Some in Silicon Valley hope Kamala Harris could provide a chance for a reset, after years of bipartisan criticism in Washington DC toward Big Tech companies

Would she bring continuity with Joe Biden's policies?  A more centrist vibe?  A sharper progressive bite?

so many of the most vocal tiktok ban supporters (the FCC's Brendan Carr, Marsha Blackburn) are 100% reading from a facebook provided script and could not give the slightest fuck about consumer privacy, national security, or anything else that the press provides them unwarranted credibility and attributes them 100% pure intention annoys me to no end
