Wonderful and unexpected news - a positive sign for the future of WordPress. I'm curious about what led to the change in direction. I suspect Mary's been more involved lately and if so, it's great to see her being listened to and empowered to make decisions.

I'd love to read @automattic or @photomatt's response to this well-written letter so that we can see both sides to the story. So far, I haven't seen ANY legally valid claims against WP Engine - just nonsense about moral obligations, non-trademarked terms, post revisions, etc.
