Per sources: An AWS employee filed a discrimination case against Joshua Burgin, Charlie Bell's former CoS. An internal review recommended termination. After deliberations btwn top execs, Bell went to Jassy, who overruled the suggestion. Burgin remains at AWS as GM of Outposts.

One fun tidbit in the story: Adobe held preliminary talks with DocuSign (which never advanced) before purchasing EchoSign in 2011. It's been renamed Adobe Sign. Now, DocuSign is the industry leader. It just reported a 57% increase in sales over the past year to $431 million.
