@Sean_McBeth ... Full disclosure: Meta's paying me as a contractor to work on XR Tech, but I haven't done anything with the Quest Pro, and I have a Quest 2 at home for work. My personal opinion is the Quest 2 is ready for gamers and also ideal for developers. The Quest Pro is for AAA developers.

You have to wonder, if Google weren't making such large profits from advertising, if the market would see 3B users of Google's software *without paying them any royalties* as a good thing. Big Tech seems more powered by a hype cycle and monopoly rent-seeking than by innovation. https://twitter.com/...

I have some sympathy for Apple on this one only because I once suffered with a Nexus 5 phone that started to die at 15% or 20% battery life sometimes (I was playing a lot of Pokémon Go), because the battery was getting old and Android *wasn't* throttling the CPU. https://twitter.com/...

Rivals are yet to make any single watch nearly as popular. Nobody really got everyone on the same page to compete against Apple like Android had done previously with smartphones & tablets, or Microsoft with Windows on PCs. https://twitter.com/...

I have a theory about Intel, that AMD forces them to compete, and they can just lower their profit margins whenever AMD advances on them like they're doing now, until Intel regains their tech lead (based on spending the most money on chip fabs). Maybe this is oversimplification? https://twitter.com/...

With chips like Threadripper 3960X and 3970X, AMD is now comfortably beating Intel in the high-end desktop/workstation CPU market, and is getting further ahead

When AMD launched its third-generation Zen 2 Ryzen processors earlier this year, Intel had to be sweating.
