That's a pretty transparent motive. SoftBank has invested in Ola and Grab in India and SE Asia, respectively, so abandoning them is best for SoftBank, but not guaranteed for Uber. (Personal opinion, Uber should stay in India and parts of SE Asia.) http://twitter.com/...
