@ssamat Google's anti-competitive actions with the Play Store are the tip of the iceberg for the overall antitrust violations by Android. Google has been heavily doubling down on anti-competitive behavior with the Play Integrity API and changes to AOSP. You'll be losing a lot more cases.

@josephfcox April 2024 is when Google shipped the firmware reset attack mitigation feature we proposed to fix a vulnerability we reported which was being exploited in the wild by MSAB for their XRY tool: https://x.com/... It looks a lot like Graykey used the same vulnerability.

Experts say a new feature in iOS 18.1 causes iPhone to reboot after few days of inactivity, which improves security and has caused concern among law enforcement

Apple quietly introduced code into iOS 18.1 which reboots the device if it has not been unlocked for a period of time …

iOS 18.1 was released on October 28, 2024. This has nothing to do with recent news coverage where cops are blaming imaginary features for devices not staying in After First Unlock state. Devices likely crashed due to one of many bugs which exist, including already patched ones.

Our initial port of device-independent GrapheneOS code to Android 15 is done and we're testing it in the emulator. We still need to port the kernels, device-specific repositories, adevtool and generate the new vendor state. Can already be built for emulator from our 15 branch.

This is one of multiple carrier apps in the stock Pixel OS which we don't include in GrapheneOS. We were aware of it already since we had to go through them and figure out why they exist. We could embrace this fearmongering and leverage it for marketing, but we aren't dishonest.

iVerify are scammers and anyone paying them money should rapidly stop doing it and remove their malware from their devices. The real security risk is giving remote code execution on your devices to one of these sketchy EDR companies lying about their capabilities and discoveries.
