I've been playing with GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark this week, and it's a really a✨ experience. Basically, using it for smaller tasks, context scanning, quick analysis, and smaller code edits. It feels so natural and instant; it's really hard to go back to other models.

OpenAI debuts a research preview of GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark, a smaller version of GPT-5.3-Codex that it claims generates code 15 times faster, for ChatGPT Pro users

ZDNET's key takeaways  — OpenAI targets “conversational” coding, not slow batch-style agents.  — Big latency wins: 80% faster roundtrip, 50% faster time-to-first-token.

I've been playing with GPT-5.3-Codex for a while, and let me tell you, this is simply the best model I've used (of course). But basically, going back to anything before is a big downgrade. It's straight to the point, fast, and also chatty with its new multi-turn feedback loop. [image]

OpenAI launches GPT-5.3-Codex, which it says runs 25% faster, enabling longer-running tasks, and “is our first model that was instrumental in creating itself”

ZDNET's key takeaways  — GPT-5.3-Codex helped debug and deploy parts of itself.  — Codex can be steered mid-task without losing context.

OpenAI says GPT-5.3-Codex goes beyond an agent that can code “to an agent that can do nearly anything developers and professionals can do on a computer”

I've made some changes with Codex within Xcode, and yes, this is a very comfortable workflow if you work in Xcode all day and don't want to switch to anything else. Now you have access to the best coding agent right within Xcode with a good UX and DX too.

I've been testing the Codex official macOS app for the last couple of weeks. Yes, funny, I know! But I didn't know they were making their own until a week after I started and released Codex Monitor! It's OpenAI's take on the IDE of the future, and it's pretty good! 🧵for more [image]

Indeed. The only reason I'm “trashing” the tooling is to get the feedback across and move things forward. I'm more than happy if an Apple employee feels comfortable and actually shares stuff online, outside of the company standard channel.
