Our colleagues @jaredlholt and @maxbrizzuto detected analyzed over 40 million appearances of QAnon catchphrases and related terms online in a one-year span from January 1, 2020, to April 1, 2021. Terms included such favorites as “WWG1WGA,” “dark to light,” and “trust the plan.”

As previously stated, the summer swell eventually subsided post January 6 thanks in large part to content moderation by #Facebook, #Twitter, and #Google. These actions correlate strongly with a continued dampening of QAnon chatter online.
