Matter has arrived! https://csa-iot.org/... Finally a smart home connectivity standard with support from Amazon, Google, Apple and Samsung. Matter is an IP-based protocol running over Wi-Fi (high bandwidth) and Thread (low power), and using Bluetooth LE for commissioning.
