These follower counts have never been shared before, and while followers doesn't equal listeners (people can follow and not tune in) this is the number of people who specifically sought out and tapped “follow” to hear about when new episodes are released.

eek, watch out audible. spotify just announced an audiobooks subscription tier for $9.99/month that gives access to 15 hours of audiobook listening + ad-supported music and podcasts. audible's cheapest plan costs $7.95 but only includes certain titles.
