less a rant and more a “well yes what do you expect ATSC 3.0?” they missed the boat on this tech by a decade. it's a shame because as more scripted content goes behind paywalls people will be left with fewer options, particularly in the broadband deserts that plague the US. our infrastructure simply isn't ready for the whole country to move to streaming.
